Why do You Need a Stylist Named Anita?
Welcome to my blog! While I’m a little late in the game, I felt it was about time for me to share my thoughts to the whole world. While this blog will mainly talk about style and fashion, it will also have a mish mosh of things that come up in this forever spinning mind of mine. Hopefully you’ll find some good tips, fabulous products, great sites, cute things, and maybe even a laugh here and there. So to start this off, just wanted to let those who know me (and those who don’t…”Hi and Welcome!”) why I’m so obsessed with shopping, trends, & style.
10) I always had an eye for fashion since the days of neon splattered sweatshirts, jelly bracelets & shoes, and bangs curled and hair sprayed in that very particular (peculiar?) way.
9) The idea of going to the mall every Saturday after a morning of Chinese school made the classes WAY more bearable.
8) My first pair of Guess Jeans, zipper on the side and peg leg folded of course, was the best $48 (my mom) ever spent.
7) The very first day of Junior High School, I wore a bright yellow skirt paired with a big turquoise and white striped tee…pushing the fashion envelope even back then!
6) There was a period in High School when I had a calendar where I would track the outfits I wore each day, so I wouldn’t repeat too much.
5) During my summer internships in college, what seemed like a HUGE paycheck at the time would really just go straight to Macy’s.
4) I have an uncanny knack to find fantastic clothes at bargain prices…even the employees who ring me up say what great purchases I’ve made.
3) I’m pretty sure I can open up a good-sized boutique with the contents of my closet, dressers, and jewelry boxes. (My mom gets mad when she sees tags still attached to the clothing hanging in my closet)
2) I’ve gotten the nickname ‘Trendanita’ at work.
1) My friends either ask me to go shopping with them to find them something, borrow my clothes, or insist that my calling is to be a stylist to the stars…so I gotta start somewhere!
